Privacy Policy
Overview
PLATE7 ("we", "us", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we store it, and your rights regarding that data.
What data we collect
Waitlist emails. If you join our pre-launch waitlist, we collect your email address to send you a single notification when the app launches. We also log a basic referrer and browser user-agent string for analytics purposes. We do not sell or share this data with third parties.
In-app data (authenticated users). Once the app is live, the app collects and stores data you voluntarily provide, including: health and fitness goals, dietary preferences, recipes, weekly meal plans, meal adherence records, daily notes and weekly reflections, body measurements and weight entries, intermittent fasting settings, and budget preferences.
We do not collect payment card numbers or financial data directly — payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
How data is stored
App data is stored securely using Supabase, an encrypted cloud database. Waitlist signups are stored in the same Supabase project. Row-level security policies ensure each user can only access their own data.
Local storage in your browser is also used to persist app preferences between sessions.
Cookies and tracking
The app does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking scripts. External resources (Google Fonts, Supabase JS SDK) may log standard web request information such as your IP address and browser type — we do not control that data collection.

Data retention and deletion
Waitlist emails are retained until the app launches. Once the app is live, you may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@plate7.app. In-app users can delete all data via the "Reset all data" option within the app. This action is immediate and irreversible.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us at hello@plate7.app.
Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email hello@plate7.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
